The Biltwell Event Center plays host to weddings, fundraisers, conferences, and a number of important Indianapolis events. This year, the venue was also home to Indy VegFest: a one-day extravaganza that brought together dozens of organizations, large and small, who share a “commitment to compassion and wellness for all, and environmental sustainability.”
VegFest was touted as a 100% vegan event that was open to all, and one of the first things that we noticed was that the environment truly was welcoming. (We were especially enticed by the smells of the vegan entrees and snacks being offered throughout Indy VegFest, and we are looking forward to ordering some Ol’ Dirty Sheets Hot Sauce!)
Vegfest featured a diverse array of speakers, including DJ Evan Black and blogger/photographer Shay Boyd of Pretty Brown Vegan. Event sponsors included Whole Foods and Eskenazi Health, though the complete list of sponsors is quite a bit longer. You can view the full list of speakers, sponsors, and vendors at the Official VegFest website.
