If you’ve been on this blog before, you’re probably familiar with the Content Cucumber mantra: “Inform, entertain, and inspire.” After all, creating a catchy slogan is one of the most crucial parts of launching a business! However, as writers, we realize that our quick 4-word summary doesn’t really convey the true passion we have for these values, or why we chose them as our guiding principles.

The truth is, these principles don’t apply solely within the workplace. Personally, I find that the common mantra often repeated on this blog is applicable in most areas of my life, as well as the lives of my coworkers. From the way we run our business to how we interact with our loved ones, it’s simply natural for us to continuously strive to inform, entertain, and inspire.

Our Business Values

This one may seem a bit obvious, but it’s definitely worth reiterating. The main purpose of Content Cucumber is to create relevant and entertaining content that will leave our clients and their customers feeling inspired. We genuinely want to make the internet a better place by providing helpful information and helping great companies attract the online visibility they deserve.

Our writers also aim to inspire our clients by bringing their visions and ideas to life at a flat monthly rate. The reliable, consistent services we provide allow businesses of all sizes to establish a solid online presence without breaking the bank. Best of all, each client is paired with a writer who will ensure that their brand voice remains strong and steady in blog posts, social media blurbs, product descriptions, and more.

Writing Outstanding Content

Before any of our writers ever submits an assignment, they ask themselves if the content they wrote was informative, fun to read, and ended on a note of inspiration or positivity. We also encourage writers to ask themselves if they would personally want to read the content they created. If something we write doesn’t appeal to us, then we work on it until it meets our own high standards.

The one aspect that sets Content Cucumber writers apart from other writing companies and freelancers is that we put an emphasis on inspiration instead of simply reciting facts and statistics. The articles we provide for our clients are designed to be enjoyed, not to be quickly skimmed over. We think there is far too much content out there that doesn’t really have any value. The key to great content is to genuinely care about the people who will be accessing the information instead of focusing solely on the metrics, such as the number of pageviews or “likes” a blog receives.

Off-The-Clock and Offline

To answer your question: yes, we do have lives outside of writing blogs. Perhaps not what you may consider to be “exciting” or “thrilling” lives, but in any case, I promise that I have definitely been outside more than once within the past week.

I can’t speak for all the writers when it comes to our personal lives outside of work, but I do know that we all take the guiding principles of Content Cucumber home with us. Our company is full of creative people who entertain and inspire their loved ones with their extraordinary musical talents, cooking skills, and artistic abilities. I know that my fellow blog writers are constantly striving to learn more about the crazy world we live in, and they’re more than happy to share their informed insights with others.

When we encounter business leaders who are on the fence about whether or not to hire a writer, we encourage them to simply request a sample article from us. Our writers are personally committed to upholding the core values of the company, which is something that freelancing sites can’t guarantee. If you want to see just how different Content Cucumber is from other writing services, go ahead and request your sample article today!
