You’ve binge-watched all the good Netflix shows.

You’ve read all the books you had stacked up on your nightstand.

You’ve baked 3 months’ worth of bread and pastries.

What now?

Podcasts!

There are hours upon hours of amazing podcasts available to help you beat quarantine induced boredom. From cooking, to crime, to comedy, to pretty much any interest you may have, there’s a podcast about it. Here are 4 awesome podcasts we recommend.

Home Cooking

Home Cooking with Samin Nosrat (the chef who wrote Salt Fat Acid Heat) and Hrishikesh Hirway (a musician and experienced podcaster) is perfect for those of us who are total wannabe chefs. They started this podcast specifically to keep people company and teach them what to cook during quarantine! You can call or email them with any questions you may have about what to cook with that you have access to right now, how to cook specific items, or basically anything relating to food and cooking! Their most recent episode is titled “Guess what? Chicken Butt is Delicious.” Need we say more about how wonderful this podcast is? You can listen to this podcast on the Home Cooking website as well as almost all other podcast apps and platforms.

Crime Junkie

Crime Junkie is the ultimate crime podcast created by two of the biggest crime junkies, hence the name. Brit and Ashley (along with Ashley’s dog Charlie) are the creators and hosts of Crime Junkie. Every week they expertly recount chilling true stories about murders, missing persons, infamous killers, conspiracy theories, cold cases, and much more. If listening to a murder mystery while walking your dog sounds like the perfect afternoon, then this is the podcast for you! You can listen to Crime Junkie on Apple Podcasts as well as on their website.

Office Ladies

The Office Ladies podcast is a dream come true for fans of The Office TV show. Real-life best friends and The Office co-stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey are rewatching every single episode of The Office, breaking each one down, and giving listeners all the exclusive behind-the-senses information you could ever want! Did you know that the characters Kelly, Ryan, and Toby sat in the annex because those actors were also writers on the show? Their characters had to sit “off-screen” most of the time because they needed to be in the writer’s room and not on set all day. You can listen to the Office Ladies podcast on all the main podcast apps and on their website.

Best Friends

Best friends Nicole Byer and Sasheer Zamata are the hosts of the Best Friends podcast. They talk about their own personal experiences with everything from relationships, to work, to which one of them will die first. You may not be able to go hang out with your best friend right now, but this podcast will make you feel like you’re sitting right next to them! Nicole and Sasheer are hilarious together, making this podcast the perfect thing to listen to when you need a laugh or when you’re missing your best friend. You can listen to Best Friends on Spotify, the Podcasts app, and Stitcher.
