It’s another day of cures for cabin fever, and today is all about getting moving! While many of us are still free to go outside for walks and other solo outdoor activities, chances are you’ve been spending a lot less time moving the last couple weeks and a lot more time on the couch. As comfy as it may be to kick back and relax, staying at least somewhat active is important for maintaining good physical and mental health!

While it may be part of your normal fitness routine, you don’t need to go to the gym in order to have a gratifying workout experience! Whether you have a full home gym or no equipment at all, we have some awesome places to look for at-home workouts that will help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Orangetheory Videos

Whether you’re a longtime fan of Orangetheory or just looking for a way to get moving, this is a great free way to maintain and improve your physical fitness! Orangetheory workouts include everything from stretches to keep you limber to high-intensity movements that will get your heart pumping, and they’ve been posting free no-equipment workouts on their website and their Instagram. If you enjoy HIIT-style workouts, this could be a great fit for you!

The Peloton App

Peloton is probably most known for their exercise bikes, but they have so much more to offer! They also make other workout equipment, like treadmills, and a fitness app. Right now, you can get a 90-day free trial of their app that includes all kinds of workouts, from running to yoga. This is a great option for people who want to get as close to the experience of a fitness class as possible while practicing social distancing! Just remember that when the free trial is up they will start charging you $12.99 a month, so if you tend to forget about subscriptions you may want to set a reminder to decide whether to pay or cancel.

Yoga With Adriene on YouTube

If you want to focus on yoga, Yoga with Adriene is a great place to start (or continue) your practice. Ideally, a yoga mat would be great, but many of these workouts can also be done on a blanket, a bed, or even some nice carpet. If all else fails, try a routine that primarily involves standing poses that can be done on whatever flooring you have. From yoga for weight loss to meditations to help you feel calmer, and lengths ranging from just a few minutes to a full hour, Adriene has lots of options for people at any stage of practicing yoga.

12 Minute Athlete

This is a great option for people who are essential workers working extra or continuing to work from home, because it’s all about workouts that are quick and effective. All of the workouts are around 12 minutes long, making it easy to fit into any schedule! Check out the app and enjoy Krista Stryker’s HIIT workouts that will get your blood pumping and endorphins rushing.

STRONG by Zumba

If you prefer more dance-like gym classes, this is perfect for you! From simple tips to full half-hour workouts, this YouTube channel has fun, fast-paced Zumba classes you can do right from your living room. While these workouts don’t require any equipment, you may want to move around a few things before you start so you don’t dance your way into a coffee table or vase.

While you may still miss the gym, staying at home doesn’t mean you have to give up on living a healthy lifestyle! Take care of your physical and mental health with these at-home workouts, and enjoy these ways to get and stay active from home.

Thumbs up
